About Little Sprouts

Little Sprouts Learning Center is a one-of-a-kind childcare facility!   Our goal is to work with each family to provide the care and education that will meet their individual needs.  Our 8500 square foot facility allows for 7 separate classrooms, a cafeteria, and two separate playgrounds for toddlers and preschoolers.  We provide care for children 6 weeks of age to 6 years of age.  We are open Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 6:00pm.

All Little Sprouts Learning Center classes use a curriculum developed by a Masters level Early Childhood Education teacher, and we implement WE EDUCATION, which focuses on working closely with each of our families to create reinforcement opportunities in the home.  We will partner with you to create a plan that helps your child achieve social, emotional, and academic readiness for Kindergarten.  This creates the optimum learning environment for your child.

Our toddler curriculum correlates with our preschool curriculum so that the children in the toddler classes are even more prepared for preschool by the time classes change.  While they receive social and emotional growth during our many whole group activities and learning centers, we also work with your child at his or her own academic level through daily instructional sessions.  Children are able to work on their own academic tasks, mastering material at their own pace.  Each child works toward individual goals and masters them when developmentally ready, while still developing important socialization skills by interacting with peers.

Your child’s academic progress is documented weekly through short, individual assessments.  You and the teacher will always know which learning skills your child has mastered and which ones need more development.  The curriculum is designed to meet the Tennessee Teaching Standards for Pre-K as well as the Tennessee Early Learning Developmental Standards.  The weekly themes (i.e., SHAPES, OCEANS, REPTILES, RHYMING WORDS, WEATHER, NURSERY RHYMES, RECYCLING, FIRE SAFETY, DENTAL HEALTH, AND MANY MORE) incorporate the skills recommended by the state while also providing fun, preschool-age topics that engage the children in learning.  Speech and vocabulary also improve in this literature-rich environment.  Learn more about our reading readiness curriculum on the CURRICULUM INFORMATION page.
